Silver Java Finches
Compatibility To Life In A Mixed Aviary
We have one pair of silver Java Finches (also called Java Sparrows) in our aviary. It seems they have a reputation for being aggressive and dominating an aviary but our pair are a delight. I think they may look a bit intimidating to other smaller finches because of their large beaks but Zippy and Zorro have always been friendly to them and I think the smaller finches have all got over their fears because of this. They are very sleek and attractive to watch only the male singing which Zorro does if he loses sight of Zippy in the aviary! I would love to add another pair to our aviary.
